I am writing to say that my wife Debbie died a couple of weeks ago she was only 45 and I wanted her to be buried at St Leonards in Beoley. I contacted the Rev David Rogers and both he and Rev Julie Humphries, were so support and helpful. David went on holiday but Julie came to see me, and the care and compassion she showed myself and my family was tremendous, she helped me to plan the service. When the Service of celebration for my wife Debbie took place, I felt so supported by the Christian love and support and compassion show to myself and my family by Julie and her team. She helped to make it so special to my family and friends, and did my wife Debbie proud, it really showed the Love and compassion of Jesus for us all ! I just want share that with people!

Prayer request from Jennie Lumb at the YMCA

"Thank God for YMCA in Church Hill Redditch and for all the opportunities it
has to get alongside so many young people in the community through youth
clubs and sports based activities. Thank God for the 54 housing units which
house young people who have become homeless. Please pray that staff and
volunteers can inspire all these young people to build a better future for
themselves and to fulfil their God-given potential."

We at Redditch Baptists really want our young people to get to know other young Christians and budding Christians and would love to be part of such a network. KEEP OUR LOCAL CHRISTIAN BOOKSHOP OPEN!
Our local Christian bookshop, The Word Shop in St Stephen's Church in
the Town Centre, is desperately short of voluntary helpers. The working
hours can be very flexible and even just a few hours per week or month
would be helpful. If you don't fancy working alone in the shop why not
team up, perhaps with a friends or your partner? Shop experience is not
required! Travel expenses are refunded if needed. Please pray about
this - without more voluntary help our shop will close.
